You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist (Counterintelligence) in the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (Intel Department - CI Branch) of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

Serves as an Intelligence Specialist (Counterintelligence) and performs assigned tasks in support of the Commands mission. Provides oversight, assessments and recommendations to support plans, policies, procedures and concept development related to CI operations/activities in support of Command requirements. Conduct liaison with DoN and DoD organizations, and US-government interagency partners. Consults with leadership and legal advisors to ensure operations/activities are conducted in accordance with applicable intelligence oversight regulations, policies and other directive guidance.

Requirements

• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• This position requires periodic polygraph examinations.
• This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
• May work a schedule other than Monday - Friday.
• Must report to Command when requested.
• This position requires a successful physical examination.
• This position requires the ability to swim.
• Incumbent may be authorized to carry a weapon as required and must therefore be qualified with the weapon.
• This position is covered under the Lautenberg Amendment of the Gun Control Act of 1968, due to the requirement to carry a weapon.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing oversight, assessments, and recommendations to plans, policies, procedures and concept development related to counterintelligence (CI) operations/activities in support of Command/agency requirements; 2) Conducting operations and administrative CI activities; 3) Coordinating information and resource requirements, decisions, authorizations and recommendations; and, 4) Planning, developing and coordinating operations/activities to support integration of inter-agency partners.
