About the Position: This is a permanent position located on Shaw AFB, SC for an Operations Specialist (CBRNE).

Duties

Coordinates and synchronizes CBRN-related operational requirements in USARCENT. Provides technical support and recommendations that directly affect planning and execution of current operations. In unification with Headquarters Department of Army, USACENTCOM and USARCENT, manages and advises on a CBRN program that utilizes FORSCOM personnel to execute program objectives. Identifies manpower resources, funding, and other programs for current and future operations. Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative for program functional areas within the section.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing operational support to CBRNE-related areas such as mission analysis and planning and unit vulnerability and protection; 2) Formulating CBRNE training plans and reporting on training status; 3) Identifying manpower resources, funding, and other program requirements for current and future operations; and 4) Serving as the Contract Officer Representative (COR) for assigned functional areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of the work performed at the next lower level (GS-09) OR Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as business administration/management, logistics, etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
