About the Position: This is a Management Analyst position is located at Redstone Arsenal, AL with the US Army Space and Missile Defense Center (SMDC), Center of Excellence, Organization Development Branch.

Duties

Serve as a Major Army Command (MACOM) Senior Management Analyst (Force Structure) with responsibility for all force management actions for assigned Army Space and Missile Defense (SRC 40) force structure and programs. Apply knowledge of Space and Missile Defense capabilities and doctrine to ensure compatibility between ongoing force structure programming efforts, the conduct of force structure analysis/studies, and force structure trade-off analysis/studies. Apply specific knowledge of the Capability Development and Force Development processes in all technical recommendations pertaining to Space and Missile Defense. Manage force design and organization integration for assigned Army Space and SRC 40 units including generating organization requirements, designing organizations, developing organizational models, determines organizational authorizations, documenting organizational designs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret Security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R or a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 20% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience working with the Total Army Analysis (TAA) or similar process; managing Rules of Allocation (ROA) within the Total Army Analysis; assisted in the development of Force Design Updates (FDUs) to identify capability shortfalls; experience working with Table of Organization and Equipment (TOE) to provide standardization for documenting the organizational structure; experience supporting Basic of Issues Plans (BOIPs); applying Manpower Requirements Criteria (MARC) and Standard of Grades (SOGs).
