You will serve as a PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT in the SUPPLY AND LOGISTICS DIVISION of NVRECRUITNGCMD.

Duties

You will make purchases of specific, clearly defined supply items, equipment and services using the government purchase card. You will certify supply invoices, prepare receiving reports and forward to the servicing Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) for payment processing. You will ensure all designated government property is included in the Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS) and conduct required inventories, generate reports and queries as required. You will be responsible for the overall execution and management of the purchase card program and activating, deactivating, opening, and closing cardholder accounts. You will assist organization members with creating, booking, liquidation and trouble-calls involving the Defense Travel System (DTS). You will research, compile, and summarize information required for budget development and input data into the Fund Administration and Standardized Document Automation (FASTDATA) system.

• Work is performed in an office setting with occasional visits to the storerooms collocated in the same building. Lifting of boxes (not to exceed 50 pounds) may be required to restock shelves in storerooms.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing documents to purchase general supplies, equipment and services in support organizational requirements; 2) Compiling budget information to update financial reports; 3) Preparing and processing travel documents such as travel orders or travel vouchers; and 4) Using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat to prepare a variety of documents, correspondence, and reports in accordance with established guidelines.
