About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD ACOFS, G1 SPECIAL PROGRAMS DIVISION FORT BELVOIR, VA.

Duties

Serves as the principal Safety and Occupational Health manager for INSCOM. Ensures state of the art Safety and Occupational Health management, concepts, principles, and techniques are incorporated into all aspects of INSCOM's Safety and Occupational Health Program. Reviews and evaluates suggestions and complaints from individuals and reports of Unsafe / Unhealthful conditions, audits, surveys, inspections, and investigations from DA/DoD sources or sources external to INSCOM or from the private sector. Develops policies and standards for the evaluation of the overall INSCOM Safety and Occupational Health Program.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• TDY will be required 25% or less of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
