About the Position: Serves as a Management Support Technician (OA) with the Directorate of Resource Management responsible for data collection, processing and advising on regulation and policy.

Duties

Prepare and advise on standard operating procedures and directives for management and operation of hiring boards. Establish, maintain, and dispose of files and records in accordance with regulations to include advising personnel on proper labeling and filing procedures. Monitor regulations, directives, and policies for updates and inform appropriate personnel as needed/required. Coordinate ranking boards by scheduling interviews and ensuring all board members are trained. Develop data for annual budget requirements. Monitor funds to ensure that budget estimates are submitted timely. Maintain status for funds to ensure operation budget is not exceeded.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing clerical or administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence, filing and data entry; processing a variety of personnel actions; and interpreting and/or applying regulatory or procedural requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute- sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). To be referred, applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and qualification requirements within 30 days from the date the referral list is issued.
