About the Position: Serves as a Program Analyst in the Department of Operations, Plans, and Security for the Army Management Staff College, Army University, responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, and executing the mission, functions, and activities of AMSC within the Civilian Education System (CES). Performs and directs activities that involve synchronizing and reporting organizational status and consolidating and analyzing performance-based management activities.
Duties
As a Supervisory Program Analyst (Operations), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Serve as an expert staff advisor and strategic planner to the Director, Operations, Plans, Security, AMSC Director, and Deputy Director on all administrative matters and (CES) related operations.
Utilize DoD, Army, TRADOC and CAC documents, recommends operational objectives and tasks to posture AMSC for success in executing current and future operations requirements and activities.
Plan and assign work to be accomplished by subordinates based on priority, requirements of the assignment, individual/division capabilities, and resources available.
Manage the coordination of activities in support of on-going operations requirements and response actions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 10% of the time.
- May be required to carry light items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- One your probation period to perform supervisory duties, unless previously completed.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
