You will serve as the lead Intelligence Specialist at the GG-13 grade level for Electronic Warfare (EW) Planning in the Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) Branch, Information Maneuver Division, Deputy Commandant for Information (DC I, Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps (HQMC).

Duties

You will develop and coordinate long-term USMC Electronic Warfare (EW) plans and policies with national agencies, the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and other Services. You will plan, develop, and coordinate ground Electronic Warfare (EW) networks with the Marine Corps Tactical Services Architecture and spectrum managers. You will ensure that the Marine cryptologic and ground Electronic Warfare (EW) architectures are integrated and work collaboratively to share data and information internally. You will represent the Service at the senior-level DOD and coalition forums on Electronic Warfare (EW). You will coordinate joint and service staff actions with HQMC, Marine Corps Combat Development Command (CD I), MARFORs, MEFs, testing and training entities, and tactical units that employ Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities. You will establish and maintain contacts across Service, Department of the Navy, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community to exchange information and cooperate on matters of mutual interest. You will travel to other areas to explain the needs of the Marine Corps or provide technical assistance, advice or guidance on long-term Electronic Warfare (EW) plans and policy. You will develop Electronic Warfare (EW) program capabilities and assist in providing oversight of the Electronic Warfare (EW) statuses and assessments

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS Trial Period.
  • This position may require a Polygraph examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector duties such as: Developing and coordinating long-term Electronic Warfare (EW) plans and policies. Planning Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) enabled networks for internal and external information sharing. Utilizing electronic intelligence planning processes to coordinate actions that employ Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) capabilities. Developing Electronic Warfare (EW) program capabilities and assisting in providing oversight of the Electronic Warfare (EW) status and assessments.
