About the Position:
This position is located with the Department of Education Activity in Alexandria, Virginia.
Duties
Coordinates with school, district, and region level personnel on co-curricular, extra-curricular, and athletic programs. Assesses program effectiveness and conducts analyses to identify needs and prepare standard operating procedures.
Develops methods for improvement of programs to advise and assist field-level leaders with implementation.
Serves as an Education Directorate subject matter expert for maintaining the Extra Duty Assignment (EDA) database and processing of new EDA requests. Serves as the liaison to DoDEA Resource Management representatives for coordination on EDAs.
Recommends plans for the initiation or modification of policy and process for athletics and extra/co-curricular program areas.
Provides annual end-of-the-year reports to the Chief, Education Policy and Operations, on modifications to the EDA database.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.

- You may be required to sign a transportation agreement.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Coordinates with school, district, and region level personnel on co-curricular, extra-curricular, and athletic programs; Recommends plans for the initiation or modification of policy and process for athletics and extra/co-curricular program areas; Develops methods for improvement of programs to advise and assist field? level leaders with implementation; Assists in monitoring and reviewing budget via report generation and analysis, standard operating procedures established by resource management division.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
