This position is located in the Headquarters (HQ), Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). This position serves as an Information Technology Specialist to understand and perform IT requirements management and classified document control when required. Responsible to their supervisor and DeCA HQ for assuring that the requirements for DeCA are captured and provided to stakeholders when needed.

Duties

Supports and works in an ad hoc environment with DeCA IT by assisting with obtaining, managing, and communicating IT requirements to stakeholders. Provides historical documentation and serves as the IT representative for collections and presentation of requirements. Maintains program and administrative reference materials, project files and relevant background documents and make available policies, procedures, and written instructions from the supervisor. Uses various SOP's, agency manuals, and DoD manuals to include publications from Air Force, Army, Navy, and other 4th Estate agencies. This position offers promotion potential to a higher grade. To prepare you for the higher grade, work assignments will be progressively more complex. After meeting all qualifications and requirements for the next grade level and with your supervisor's recommendation, you may be promoted without further competition. Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 2210 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, or a combination of experience and education to qualify. Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level by the closing date of this announcement. Provide advice and guidance to customers on a wide range and variety of procedures, policies, and directives on IT requirements. Evaluate and recommend new or enhanced IT requirements resolutions. Preparing and presenting reports from collected and/or researched data. OR Education: Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree. OR Combination of experience and education. To calculate the combination, divide your total months of experience by 12, then divide your graduate level semester hours by the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study or 18 and add the two percentages. If the total is 100%, you meet the minimum qualifications through a combination of experience and education. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Education

Foreign education may be qualifying if a private organization specializing in interpreting foreign education programs has deemed the foreign education equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program or a U.S. accredited college or university has given full credit for the foreign courses.

Transcripts. Required when using education to meet qualifications or when education is required.

Unofficial transcripts from U.S. Department of Education accredited colleges, universities, schools, or institutions listing your name, the name of the school, the date and degree awarded, and the list of classes and credits earned are acceptable for the application process. If selected, official transcripts are required before a firm job offer is made. A photocopy of your degree/diploma is not acceptable.

When relying on foreign education, submit transcripts and a copy of the equivalency evaluation results letter with a course by course listing.
