About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.
Duties
Responsible for the planning, coordination and direction of a variety of work operations and function through subordinate supervisors.
Collaborate verbally with higher level managers, subordinate employees, and/or production personnel for new workload.
Develop performance standards, evaluate performance of subordinate supervisors.
Develop plans of action and milestones to achieve missions objective.
Review and analyze production schedules and cost variances for programs controls to assure depot production commitments are accomplished as scheduled.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position maybe required to work overtime.
- This position requires a personnel security background check - Tier 2: Non-Sensitive, Moderate Risk (Public Trust).
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position is supervisory position. A one year probation to assess the incumbents ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Coordinating and directing depot production operations. (2) Facilitating short and long term depot operations, planning and methodologies. (3) Establishing timelines, monitoring production, recommending changes and/or determining resources needed to maintain deadlines. (4) Implementing policies and procedures for resource allocation such as quality control, work schedule projection and safety (5) Knowledge of aircraft structural repair. The definition of specialized experience is typical work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service (GS-11).
