You will serve as a Technical Project Manager (Administrative/Technical) in the Security Division; Corporate Operations Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. If selected, you will serve as Lead Security Specialist. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14. This position is salary capped GS-13 Step 10 (currently $145,617). See "Additional Information" section.

Duties

You will, as the Senior Intelligence Official, serve as a senior expect to the command on matters related to the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security management functions, to accomplish agency SCI goals and objectives. You will plan, direct, and execute SCI security operations to include the oversight of the personnel, information, physical, Emergency Management, Command Duty Officer, OPSEC, Special Security Office, and industrial security programs. You will support security education programs as they apply to SCI. You will provide extensive analysis and forecasting, and develop and manage programs to protect NSWCDD critical technologies and intellectual property. You will maintain liaison with top officials of security and intelligence organizations. You will represent the Command at Navy, DoD, and interagency meetings, working groups, and decision-making conferences. You will support mission or recovery activities after a major emergency as a Mission Essential employee. You will serve as an Assessable Unit (AU) supervisor, implementing management controls and actions to provide reasonable assurance that programs and functions meet mission objectives and operate efficiently and effectively.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting security program oversight to ensure organizational compliance with personnel security, physical security, or information security regulations, policies, or procedures.
