he New Mexico VA Healthcare Network is recruiting for a Program Support Assistant assigned to the Social Work Service. The incumbent will provide ongoing management support functions including generations of key reports, work practice processes, and documents such Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE), tracking of clinical supervisor and Scopes of Practice.
Duties
Duties include but not limited to:
Assist in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies.
Enter pertinent information into an automated tracking system.
Maintain automated systems of service specific data to track suspense's on items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding accomplishments, and compliance strategies.
Provide oversight for a variety of software programs integral to the overall administration and operations of the Social Wok Service.
Coordinating and training for service and facility staff functional areas for various information technology packages.
Function as timekeeper.
Obtains and monitors the use of supplies or equipment.
Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Mon-Fri

Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary. Typically the employee may sit comfortability to do the work. There will be some walking, standing, bending, and carry moderate (not to exceed 20 pounds) items such as records, books, and papers.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-07 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: performing clerical/administrative duties in an office environment; answering and directing phone calls; receiving visitors; preparing correspondence; maintaining files/records; and using a computer to perform a variety of support tasks; scheduling and managing a calendar of appointments
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social).
