This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief of Operations, Superintendent, House Office Buildings (HOB), Facilities Management Division, Business Operations Branch, Supply Management Branch. The incumbent serves as Assistant Supply Management Officer and assists in planning, organizing and directing the purchase, receipt, storage and inventory management of renovation and construction supplies and equipment for HOB operations.
Duties
Tour of duty hours will be 7:30am to 4pm (Hours may change due to operational needs. This position is emergency essential - Depending on the type of emergency the employee may be required to report to work during emergency situations.This position is eligible for telework in accordance with the AOC policy.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. For GS-11: Candidates for the GS-11 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as the following: 1) Performing analytical work to manage, regulate, and control the level and flow of materials, supplies and equipment through acquisition, storage and inventory management; 2) Resolving conventional inventory management problems, questions and situations in a supply operation; and 3) Performing independent reviews and making recommendations involving well-established acquisition criteria, methods, techniques and procedures.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related
Special Instructions for Foreign Education:
Education completed outside of the United States must be deemed equivalent to that gained in conventional/accredited U.S. education programs to be acceptable for Federal employment.
Qualifying education from colleges and universities in foreign countries must be evaluated in terms of equivalency to that acquired in U.S. colleges and universities. Applicants educated in whole or in part of foreign countries must submit sufficient evidence, including transcripts, to an accredited private organization for an equivalency evaluation of course work and degree.
You must provide a copy of the letter containing the results of the equivalency evaluation with a course-by-course listing if selected.
