Duties

Please Note: Employees will be required to report to their assigned office location at least 2 day per week for non-supervisory positions and 3 days per week for supervisory/managerial positions unless the position advertised is designated as a remote-only position. This position serves as the Director of the Audit and Internal Controls Program. This position is located in the immediate office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) and reports directly to the Deputy CFO. The Director, Audit and Internal Controls Program serves as a senior advisor on policy, implementation and compliance with internal control requirements mandated or encouraged by federal-sector program accountability statutes and policy directives and manages all external audit lifecycle processes for EXIM. The position serves as a senior advisor to the Board of Directors, Directors, Chairman, Chief of Staff, OCFO, Deputy CFO, and senior officials on EXIM's internal controls strategy and policy. Qualifications

Specialized Experience (Credit for Specialized Experience on resume must reflect 40 hours/Full-time per week for each period of work): GS-15: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal Government. Specialized experience includes: Experience developing, implementing, and/or maintaining an Internal Controls program to include management of program resources and budget. Experience overseeing audit management and compliance programs to include benchmarking management practices and processes,implementing corrective action plans, and risk management. Experience formulating policies and communicating solutions to senior leadership on cost-effective improvements based on audit results and analyses.; AND Experience serving as a supervisor, team leader, or program manager of an Internal Control program or audit process activities. Education cannot be substituted for experience at the GS-15 grade level.
