You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST of CENTER FOR SUBMARINE.

Duties

You will analyze Communications Security technology trends to determine future program requirements.. You will administer the security clearance program for assigned personnel to keep required clearances up-to-date. You will process finger printing to expedite the processing of Personnel Security Investigations (PSI).

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Work does include the need to make site visits within the domain to conduct surveys and inspections. These visits may require extensive walking, climbing and crawling in unconditioned spaces, narrow areas, ladder climbing roof walking, etc.;.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develop security plans or policies; Utilize security-based systems, such as: Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Secure Web Fingerprint Transaction System (SWFT); 2) Apply broadly stated need-to-know principles in making personnel security sensitivity classification determinations; 3) Plan, schedule, manage and interface with contractors, engineers and construction personnel for all projects, studies, surveys and evaluations, in order to develop, plan; 4) recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency during security installation projects throughout the domain.
