You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (SAP) in the COMMAND STAFF, SUBMARINE READINESS SQUADRON of SUBMARINE READINESS SQUADRON THREE TWO.
Duties
You will be responsible for planning, managing, implementing, evaluating and adapting physical and administrative aspects of specific security programs.
You will ensure personnel maintain clearance eligibility for appropriate accesses and monitors clearance re-certification dates for cleared personnel.
You will serve as a liaison to higher authority for certification and inspection of all facilities and spaces requiring access to classified material and Special Security programs.
You will provide technical expertise and advisory support regarding the Information and Personnel Security Program to the staff when security issues are complex, difficult and sometimes controversial in nature.
You will be responsible for the protection, use and dissemination of all Special Access Program (SAP)/Controlled Access Program (CAP) classified material/data at SRS32/CSS-2/CSS-4/CSS-12.
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
You will be required to complete Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) Course within six months of employment.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience using the guidance and practices in Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 5205.07, Volume 1 through 3, (Department of Defense Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manual); and DODM 5205.07 - DONSAPCO/0989-22 overprint (Department of the Navy SAP Fleet Implementation Guide for SAP General Security) to ensure required safeguards and protections, as prescribed by DOD and Navy, are applied to the handling, receipt, processing and dissemination of the SAP material;
Experience ensuring the SAP facilities physical security posture is properly maintained to ensure continued accreditation with expert knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705;
Experience implementing best security practices to assist with applying security procedures and monitoring the execution of security support for SRS32/CSS-2/CSS-4/CSS-12 and their assigned submarines;
Experience using a wide range of security concepts, principles and practices to review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex SCI/SAP security problems, such as those involving conflicting requirements and agreements with other organizations;
Experience reviewing reports of personnel investigations to identify their presence or absence of derogatory information and the impact of various kinds of derogatory information;
Experience and knowledge of the Navy's Personnel, Physical and Information Security and the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
