Duties
You will serve as the Deputy to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and senior expert or consultant within the organization.
You will supervise and lead programmatic initiatives and daily operations of the CTO staff.
You will lead the staff in coordinating DON digital modernization efforts, including architecting a flat and performant network, accelerating cloud implementation, and architecting digital identity, credentialing, and access management services.
You will be responsible for implementing and integrating new technology into the organization for broader adoption by the DON.
You will performs significant cybersecurity duties in support of the acquisition of IT programs, products, and services.
You will analyzes cybersecurity threat data related to proposed technologies, and makes policy recommendations based on analysis.
You will update senior leadership on Enterprise Information Environment Mission Area (EIEMA), network, cloud, Identity, Credentialing, and Access Management (ICAM), and industry best practices.
You will lead the DON staff in facilitating the adoption of EIEMA standards, network, cloud, and ICAM.
You will provide policy and planning guidance to senior organization leaders, staff, and stakeholders.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 752 at the Advanced Level within 12 months of appointment.
- This is an Acquisition Workforce position in the career field of Information Technology at Level III, and as condition of employment must meet qualification requirements as delineated by Defense Acquisition Univ (DAU) within 24 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Developing and implementing strategies and plans for enterprise IT efforts;
Maintaining familiarity with current trends and state-of-the-art technologies for potential incorporation into the enterprise;
Working across senior-level organizations to drive outcomes and effectively collaborate; and
Leading people and projects towards completion of goals.
