You will serve as an Office Manager/Senior Office Manager in the Sustainment Group of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will prepare, edit, finalize and format correspondence in accordance with (IAW) with current regulatory format, ensuring appropriate content and grammar, routing it for signature according to command, group, and department standards. You will obtain specialized and non-specialized information for use in preparing correspondence, conducting telephone conversations, conferences and discussions, making decisions, etc. You will conduct research of all relevant regulations, files and records and/or contact personnel in other organizational elements to obtain information desired. You will maintain records, ensuring the necessary changes, amendments, deletions, rescissions are accurately and timely posted, and the material is appropriately distributed. You will assist employees with travel arrangements by performing travel preparation, processing, and vouchering through Defense Travel System (DTS).

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate: At the DG-03 Level: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04/05) or pay band (DG-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Office Manager. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Performing work related to clerical or office tasks; (2) Utilizing Microsoft Office Software Applications; and (3) Reviewing and editing written reports to ensure grammar, spelling, punctuation and format. At the DG-04 Level: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05/06) or pay band (DG-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Senior Office Manager. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Performing general office clerical support to include preparation of standard correspondence, reports and other documents; (2) Reviewing and editing written reports to ensure grammar, spelling, punctuation and format; and (3) Performing work related to scheduling, training, and processing training requests.
