About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD, MISSION SUPPORT COMMAND/ACOFS, G4, INTEL MATERIEL ACTIVITY, DISTRIBUTION DIVISION.
Duties
Plan logistics support for assigned customers.
Review regulations in order to recommend changes to logistics program.
Provide guidance on appropriate logistics management.
Maintain compliance with logistics management regulations.
Serve as command representative at logistics conferences, workshops, and symposiums.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- TDY will be required 25% or less of the time.

GG-13 Level Qualifications: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing logistics management support to assigned customers, reviewing logistics regulations in order to provide guidance to assigned customers, and manage command compliance with logistics regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
GG-09 Level Qualifications: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing logistics management support to assigned customers and reviewing logistics regulations in order to provide guidance to assigned customers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-07).
For the GG-09 Level ONLY: To substitute education for experience, applicants must possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree or2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Applicants may also qualify if they have the specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; and at least one year of graduate education as described above, but less than the required two years. When computing the percentage of the requirements that you meet, the total must be at least 100%. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.
