Duties
The Deputy Program Executive Officer provides overall direction and guidance for the development, acquisition, testing, systems integration, product improvement, fielding, operations, and sustainment of assigned DLA programs.
Provides authoritative conceptual guidance on development of technical policies, procedures, and guidance for the DLA systems.
Ensures that the Agency is responsible, accountable, and in compliance with overarching directives and guidance.
Shares in the responsibility for providing acquisition guidance and program management oversight for emerging programs, legacy systems, and contemporary systems development and enhancements
(continued) to include portfolio management control and evaluation activities to meet desired mission outcomes.
The incumbent ensures compliance with acquisition processes and defines and executes Agency systems modernization strategy.

Qualifications
To qualify for Deputy Program Executive Officer, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Clear understanding of applicable audit readiness end-to-end processes within a process management functional area - to include manual and system processes and their associated internal controls.
Developing and implementing state-of-the-art information management technology.
Ensuring timely infusion of new technology that supports new and innovative business practices and productivity.
Achieving savings and efficiencies through systems and information technology infrastructure standardization.
Monitoring the integration of an Agency or organization's systems, ensuring that programs are conducted within the appropriate technical, funding, schedule, and supportability constraints.
Identifying, negotiating, and resolving major problems regarding IT policies and affecting logistics support issues.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
