This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is located at US Army Medical Activity Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell.
Duties
Assist with the development of technical provisions to be included in contracts and performance work statements for submission to the contracting office and Human Resources in developing formal Family Advocacy Program contracts.
Utilize word processing software to prepare memorandums and reports and other correspondence associated with a study of general requirements of the office.
Serve as the lead hand receipt holder, supply lead, and key controller for the Family Advocacy Program.
Utilize a working knowledge of healthcare administration and business practices for the coordination of administrative activities associated with the delivery of health care within the Behavioral Health Service Line and Family Advocacy clinics.

- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 5% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
- This position is identified as Mission Essential which may require you to work or remain at work during an emergency situation or when inclement weather has curtailed operations (e.g., threat to the facility, natural disaster, delayed reporting).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement: One year of specialized experience which includes: managing administrative operations in a clinical setting; preparing documents in support of a medical facility or medical program; preparing correspondence utilizing automated systems; and identifying training needs for the development of personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: such as hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
