This position is located in the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Operations (DCO), Cyber Command (CGCYBER), Security Section, Operations Support Department, Washington, D.C.
Duties
This position serves as the CGCYBER Security Officer and Lead Special Security Officer (SSO) for the USCG and as such manages and implements the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Collateral Security Program for CGCYBER.
Requirements

- Time-in-grade requirement must be met by closing date.
- A one-year probationary period maybe required.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-14: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lowest grade level (GS-13 level) in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience includes experience that involved extensive operational experience in a Supervisory Security Specialist position.
Applicant MUST meet the 3 bullets below:
Managing SCI programs; AND
Team lead or supervisory responsibilities to include planning work to be accomplished by subordinates and evaluating work performance; AND
Coordinating in-house Security Policy programs to ensure consistency with service security policy and programs.

Interview candidates for security positions and recommending appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions; AND
There is no educational substitution at this grade level.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
