You will serve as a Writer-Editor in the Office of Legislative Affairs of OFFLEGAFFAIRS WASHINGTON DC.
Duties
You will provide quality assurance checks on working documents.
You will independently contact Congressional, federal and private offices if more information is required on correspondence.
You will write, edit and format information according to appropriate standards for written communications with Members of Congress.
You will evaluate potential Navy announcements of significant interest to Congress and/or national or international news media.
You will assess the team’s strengths and weaknesses and look at exploring alternatives and determining what can be done for process improvements.
You will use critical thinking skills to determine efficient prioritization and tasking of inquiries and correspondence.
You will maintain and track prescribed timelines to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: In performing reviews, providing quality assurance checks on correspondence/inquiries. Writes, edit and formats details at the applicable level. Decides suitability of submitted fact sheets. Sustain programs, records and organizational reference materials through both electronic and paper files.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree.
or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
