About the Position: This position is with the 84 Training Command, 86th Training Division located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
Duties
Coordinate with facilities to assist service members and dependents with medical issues.
Provide assistance with following-up care regarding line-of-duty injuries and illnesses.
Process enrollment and resolve complex eligibility issues concerning TRICARE Prime Remote, TRICARE Reserve Select, TRICARE Extended Care Health Option (ECHO).
Manage Post Deployment Health Reassessment Program.
Prepare reports and recommend actions to correct/improve health care program and healthcare readiness deficiencies.
Develop policy memoranda and Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) which is precise and easy to understand pertaining to health care benefits.
Coordinate with health care facilities to validate health care entitlements for active component and reserve military personnel.
Advise service members and dependents about their medical entitlements.
Provide technical guidance to service member dependents on health care benefits and services available through TRICARE, the Army Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), and Title V Programs for Children with Special Needs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes knowledge of health care benefit services and related issues, skill in preparation of health benefit reports and completion of documents involving medical assessments, treatment, and documentation for claims, knowledge of health care resources and the ability to analyze health care policies and procedures to ensure uniform application and provide recommendations for efficiency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Healthcare Management and Healthcare Services Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
