About the Position: This position is with the 88th Readiness Division Headquarters, Family Program Office, Human Resources Office located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Army Reserve Family Programs is a comprehensive blend of quality-of-life programs in support of DOD activities. Our staff serve as the primary coordinating resource, who provide a multitude of unit and community-based services that foster the growth, development, and readiness of Soldiers and Families assigned to the Command.

Duties

Examine program activity to ensure efficacy of leadership, services provided, and operating standards. Collaborate with other Family Programs leadership to develop consistent management policy. Analyze program performance, customer relations, and personnel utilization to ensure efficiency. Pioneer soldier and family programs designed to support the military community. Develop program objectives, goals and priorities based on social support needs. Incorporate policy, guidance, and regulations from applicable organizations as they pertain to Family Programs. Establish mission and organization goals for all activity coordinators. Create employee and performance standards to maintain consistency within the organization.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized which includes establishing family support programs (such as family recognition, family participation, or family partnership); providing advice and technical assistance to employees, managers, organizations and/or families on programs to improve both duty and family life; arranging and/or providing briefings, orientations, or trainings; exercising supervision over the daily activities of a full-time staff; and tracking information using a variety of automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service, GS-12. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementLeadershipPlanning and EvaluatingTime in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
