About the Position: This position is with the 88th Readiness Division in the Human Resources Office, Reserve Personnel Actions Center as the Reserve Personnel Actions Center (RPAC) Manager located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
As manager of the RPAC Division, you will direct the operations of many, geographically dispersed main (HUB) and satellite (SAT) personnel action centers that provide a wide array of personnel, administrative and finance functions that facilitate unit and Soldier readiness.
Duties
Exercise supervision over the daily activities of a full-time staff which includes supervisors assigned to execute the functions of the Reserve Personnel Actions Center (RPAC).
Compile and analyze data to monitor operational effectiveness.
Monitor civilian manpower data, identify areas of concern, and develop strategies to maintain sufficient staffing.
Prepare and provide information and decision briefings to senior officials and headquarters staff.
Establish operations goals for the RPACs and assure effective and efficient execution.
Develop short and long range plans for the execution of RPAC operations.
Consolidate input from supervisors to formulate and justify operational budget and resource requests.
Develop performance standards and evaluate the work performance of subordinates.
Evaluate programs and take action to resolve problems and deficiencies while increasing efficiency and economy of RPAC functions and operations.
Conduct staff visits to provide assistance and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Review, analyze and interpret regulations, directives, reports, and legislative changes that impact military personnel and pay operations.
Manage complex military human resources, finance, and administrative technical work that involves coordination, integration and consolidation to provide a completed work product or service.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing subordinate Civilian employees and Military personnel on daily operations; managing the development of plans and programs required for budget, resource management, and training; advising on matters pertaining to actions involving personnel, strength, or pay management.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12).
