Duties

Analyzes and evaluates historical, current and emerging Combined, Joint, Multi-Service, Army, and ARSOF doctrine and TTP to identify shortfalls and/or information gaps for doctrine and TTP at the tactical, operational and strategic levels. Conducts research and analysis and develops draft doctrine and TTP for review and testing based on after action reviews analysis and lessons learned. Analyze and define current policy, doctrine, trends and initiatives to develop new concepts for the development of ARSOF doctrine and tactics, techniques and procedures. Responsible for the development of doctrine for Army Special Operations Forces (ARSOF).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing information and lessons learned to develop Army Special Operations Forces (ARSOF) doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP), force structure, organizations and equipment. 2) Serving as a doctrine developer for the Directorate of Training and Doctrine (DOTD), responsible for the development of doctrine for Army Special Operations Forces (ARSOF). 3) Providing expert analysis and advice while participating in DOTMLPF (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities) lessons learned analysis and solutions working groups. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
