The Orion Program at Johnson Space Center (JSC) is seeking qualified candidates to serve in various leadership roles across the Program. Responsible for managing and integrating resources, schedules, risks, and costs. The job may also include contract management and oversight. You will work across the Program including other Centers, international entities, and NASA Headquarters to identify needs, potential issues, and define risk-based recommendations as they arise.
Duties
Serves as a leader in the Orion Program Planning and Control (PPC) Office reporting to the PPC Manager and other managers in the Program. Provides programmatic leadership and communicates best business practices enabling decision making.
Plans, directs and coordinates administrative or management subject matter work specific to the functions within the Program Planning and Control (PPC) office which may include performance management of technical content and resource management.
Provides assessment and advice on a wide spectrum of business topics to the management team. Serves as a subject matter expert and mentor to others within the community.
Integrates, assesses, and summarizes complicated programmatic information and processes to facilitate mission success. Analyzes and manages the program or project portfolio to identify and leverage synergies or address risk, issues, and concerns.
Serves as the primary point of contact for employees within the work unit regarding administrative and/or management of the PPC functions to understand data and information, identify issues and develop resolutions.
Resolves a range of administrative and/or management problems that require the application of logical thinking in order to break down the problem into its component parts.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Leading a team or project to provide business operations or administrative functions for resources to leadership and internal/external stakeholders to accomplish mission objectives and goals;
Overseeing organizational resources analysis and maintaining financial records to ensure adherence to Federal regulations , policies, and procedures;
Leading a team to develop, maintain, monitor and provide efficient implementation of NASA or program requirements.
