You will serve as the Associate Director of the Engineering Directorate, supporting the Director by implementing Directorate activities in institutional, managerial, programmatic, and personnel functions, including organizational, public relations, governance, workforce, and related management activities that ensure the accomplishment of Directorate goals.
Duties
Oversees the development, implementation, integration of the Directorate's business rhythm and operations, including Directorate board execution, workforce planning, administrative support, communications, strategic coordination, and governance.
Fosters and builds cooperative relations and opportunities to collaborate with counterparts and senior leaders to gather information, support and build relationships necessary to identify needs, resources, and solutions.
Utilizes acquired technical, administrative, and/or engineering skill and experience to provide authoritative advice and counsel on variables and unknowns affecting planning, integration, coordination, and critical management problems.
Serves as the Engineering Directorate's representative at meetings and conferences with Center management or other entities for institutional, program, personnel, business activities, and other business operations related activities.
Oversees and makes expert recommendations for workforce strategies, planning, recruiting, hiring, implementation and coordination for the Directorate.
Oversees, advocates for, and provides advice and mentoring as the Executive Sponsor and directorate-level Champion for the EA Academy, Shadow Board, and internal Leadership Development programs.
Actively supports and assists in leading diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility policies/programs within the directorate.
Leads special projects/initiatives designed to improve directorate performance, efficiency, and innovation.
Foster a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence and innovation. Champion NASA's commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility to create an environment that promotes a commitment to safety, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Overseeing the integration of business operations for a complex organization;
Leading the execution of workforce management, recruiting, hiring, and development, including demonstrated prioritization of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives;
Representing organizational activities and partnering across boundaries towards positive outcomes.
