About the Position: The 597th Transportation Brigade is the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command's global surface transportation expert focused on U.S. Northern Command areas of responsibility. The Brigade Headquarters is located at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA.

Duties

Reviews and analyzes data for purposes of identifying shortfalls, problem areas and assesses the performance based on requirements of the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP). Administer terms and conditions of contracts/agreements to ensure contractor and government performance is in compliance and that appropriate remedial actions are invoked as required. Acts as focal point for resolving problems with contractor or government performance. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, and established schedules for work to be completed.

Requirements

• This position has been designated as “Key” and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position may require you to work nonstandard duty hours (e.g., shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime both scheduled and unscheduled.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• Incumbent must complete a minimum of 16 hours of COR-specific training required every 3 years, or before assuming COR responsibility if the individual has not performed COR responsibilities within the previous 24 months.
• This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
