Duties

This position is located under the Office of Field Operations in Independence, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana.

Qualifications

To qualify for GS-09, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-07. Additional Conditions of Employment: GS-09 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Manage calendars for management, composing correspondence and recurring reports, and establish and maintain files and records. Receives telephone calls and high-ranking visitors from ATF Headquarters and/or other Federal, State, and local law enforcement communities, including higher-level Department of Justice (DOJ) personnel. Uses the latest office automation systems (hardware and software) such as word processing and other office systems in the performance of assigned duties such as preparing letters, memorandum, and reports. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position, examples of qualifying fields include Criminal Justice, Psychology, Homeland Security, etc. (MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS). OR A combination of graduate education and experience. This will be calculated using your résumé and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.
