USAFMCOM has delegated authority by the Office of the Secretary of Defense to directly appoint qualified candidates possessing a finance, accounting, management, or actuarial science degree, or a related degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study, or equivalent experience, related to the functions of the position to be filled.
This position is located at Indianapolis, IN and Arlington, VA.
Duties
Provide direct GFEBS end-user support across multiple functional/process teams through the review, analysis, triage, and resolution of tickets submitted via Service Now.
Analyst assists in defining actual process operations and operational steps to be executed by users of the solutions.
Develops methods to obtain data and evaluate the impact of new or proposed policies on financial business processes.
Determines the impact of new business processes on existing organizational structures, recommends critical changes to optimize operations within new systems.
Analysis focuses on the impacts of the full range of financial management functions and operations.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S.Citizen.
- This is a national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Department of the Army DA Civilians must successfully complete all mandatory Civilian Education System CES courses which may require travel.
- Obtain and maintain FM Certification.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience using a financial management system and evaluating the impact of new or proposed policies to financial business processes. Also, experience processing some or all of the following in a financial system: Intergovernmental/reimbursable transactions, resource related billing, funded reimbursable authority, miscellaneous collections, sales order processing, collections in transit and cash clearing, contract procurements or accounts payable processes.
For the GS-13, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-12 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience using a financial management system and evaluating the impact of new or proposed policies to financial business processes, researching and resolving errors on interface IDOCs or error reports, as well as experience analyzing various GFEBS reports, to include, but not limited to, Status of Funds and General Ledger transactional postings to identify abnormalities. Also, experience processing some or all of the following in a financial system: Intergovernmental/reimbursable transactions, resource related billing, funded reimbursable authority, miscellaneous collections, sales order processing, collections in transit and cash clearing, contract procurements or accounts payable processes.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of the competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.
