About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), Fort Moore, Georgia, GA 31905. "The Maneuver Center of Excellence" Fort Benning is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia and adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year-round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Duties

Perform necessary research before responding to questions or inquires to ensure accurate information is relayed. Accomplish human resources tasks to support military and civilian employees assigned to the organization. Comply with automated policies to authorize users and manage user accounts. Discuss current procedures including what works well and what does not to support a high performing team environment.

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes distributing workload and tasks among team members; providing on-the-job training to new team members; reviewing and/or verifying civilian/military personnel records to identify discrepancies in information; utilizing office automation tools to make additions, revisions, and deletions to military personnel records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailCustomer ServiceHuman Resources Technology UsageTeamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
