You will serve as a EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPURTUNITY MANAGER in the TOTAL FORCE DEPT, CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES PROGRAM, DIVERSITY EEO PROGRAMS of NAVFAC OSF.

Duties

You will assist the Command Deputy EEO Officer in the development and execution of all aspects of the DON EEO Program. You will establish and maintain a model EEO Program that includes the identification and elimination of all barriers to equal opportunity in the workplace resulting in an inclusive work environment. You will participate in the NAVFAC EEO Program annual assessment and the development of the annual EEO plan. You will provide guidance and feedback to field activities. You will keep current of developments and changes in federal EEO policies and regulations related to the EEO Program and educate field level EEO specialists on the trends.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing all aspects of Affirmative Employment Program with special emphasis on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Management Directive 715 (MD 715); 2) Utilizing data to conduct in-depth workforce, trend and barrier analysis; 3) Assisting in EEO complaint management to include providing guidance to counselors and oversight of complaint processes; and 4) Briefing and training managers, supervisors, and employees on EEO related topics.
