The Financial Management Specialist is a vital role within the Risk Mitigation Division of the Grant Programs Directorate, applying budget and financial policies, utilizing strong organizational and data analytic skills to prepare and present information in a useable format. The ideal candidate will have experience with monitoring, tracking and analyzing data requirements for a program or grant.

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this position at the IC-09 level (starting salary $64,957), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Assisting with monitoring and/or tracking data for a program. Applying financial policies, practices and/or guidelines to complete program tasks. ORMaster's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. or LL.B. or J.D., if related. To qualify for this position at the IC-11 level (starting salary $78,592), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Monitoring and/or tracking data for a financial program and/or grant. Analyzing financial program plans and recommending budgetary actions. Identifying gaps in financial data during changing guidelines. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. or LL.M., if related.
