About the Position: This position is under the control of ILSC, Supply Chain Integration Directorate Sourcing Division, Sourcing Division, Procurement Branch.

Duties

Reviews supply actions, applies knowledge of contracting types, requirements, and methods to develop supplier acquisition packages for secondary items. Initiates and develops requirements package to be sent to contracting center. Identifies and drafts necessary documentation for requirements packages. Identifies and drafts necessary documentation for requirements packages which may include management decision documents, justification and authorization for other than full and open competition. Staffs the requirements packages, coordinating with supply planners, order fulfillment specialists, weapon systems sustainment teams, contracting center, engineering support activity, and other stakeholders. Monitors contractual delivery schedules to ensure end-user needs are met, considering command-assigned priority of the end item and contract delivery status. Tracks open deliveries and maintains communication with the contracting center and contractors to facilitate proactive delivery status updates. Communicates delivery delays to internal stakeholders to facilitate decisions regarding supply posture, order release strategy, and readiness driver mitigation. Integrate acquisition procurement planning of Class II and IX repair parts for identified Class V, VII, and IX items from the initiation of product development. Supports the planning, development, implementation, and management of effective and affordable product support strategies for demands throughout the life cycle for weapons, materiel, or information systems. Verifies funding is available to execute or support acquisition strategies based on AMC prioritization model(s). Updates financial requirements with the budget office and tracks changes in funding authorizations. Ensures accuracy of cost and target award dates against the spend plan. Informs supply planner of requirement amendment impacts to contract award timeline and works with contracting center to process requirement changes, as required. Submits approved procurement package amendments to contracting center for action. Meets regularly with Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) representatives to ensure acquisition strategies are being executed. Supports Supplier Performance Management (SPM) by providing feedback and information needed for supplier assessments.

Specialized experience is defined as: collaborating with the contract center to set appropriate acquisition strategies (contract types), developing the total procurement package, writing and staffing acquisition documents (J&A, Acquisition Plan, etc.), ensuring assigned purchase requests are awarded on time; tracking deliveries of assigned contracts; maintaining communication with contracting centers for both pre and post-award activities, maintains data quality of all procurement data in all relevant systems to include LMP and the Obligation Plan, researching and reconciling erroneous dues-in, and keeping relevant stakeholders informed on contract award and delivery issues and delays.
