About the Position: This is a Permanent position with US Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command at Fort Jackson, SC.
Duties
Maintain accurate accounting and reporting for non-expendable property and perform routine phases of supply management.
Issue equipment dispatches, maintains all maintenance service records and perform daily records maintenance.
Maintain supply database to correct and retrieve recurring maintenance specialized reports.
Conduct extensive and exhaustive research to review requisitions, supporting documents, and reference material to determine required action.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires a valid forklift operator license.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes operating automated systems such as Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-Army) to requisition supplies and equipment; create and maintain maintenance plan and compile reports; requisitioning components needed for maintenance of various types of major end items and various office products and supplies; operating motor vehicles up to 5 ton to transport supplies.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
TYPING PROFICIENCY: This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
