Lakewood, CO - $109,107 (Step 01) to $141,836 (Step 10)
Sacramento, CA - $108,473 (Step 01) to $141,012 (Step 10)
NOTE: First time hires to the Federal Government are typically hired at the Step 01.
Duties
As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist within the Office of Human Capital, Staff/Class Sacramento Office, some of your specific duties will include:
Qualifications
For GS-13:
Applicants must meet the following to qualify for the GS-13 level:
**One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
Examples of such experience may include: Interpreting and analyzing laws, regulations, and policies concerning human resources issues; providing guidance to lower level human resources specialists/assistants on various recruitment/staffing/placement issues; providing creative solutions to complex staffing, recruitment, and human resources management problems or issues; delivering advisory service that reflects application of appropriate human resources laws, regulations, policies and procedures; and performing or overseeing a wide variety of human resources operations activities (e.g., development of staffing strategies, job opportunity announcements, assessment tools, and certificates of eligibles); performing qualification determinations and veterans' preference adjudications; regulatory compliance reviews of personnel actions and pay-setting decisions.

Education
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
