Duties
As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist within the Office of Human Capital, some of your specific duties will include:
Qualifications
For GS-14:
Applicants must meet the following to qualify for the GS-14 level:
**One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service.
Examples of GS-13 level work may include:
Managing a human resources program or team that involved classification. Providing human resources perspective and advice in the areas of policy formulation and implementation, mission objectives and program planning, organizational adjustments, human resource requirements, techniques for improving workforce utilization.
Supervising or leading a team of classifiers or contractors who conduct classification.
Establishing or implementing human resource policies relating to the classification and position management.
Advising on complex, classification, position management and organizational needs.
Participating in teams on workforce planning, initiative development, and strategic goals.
Working closely with key operating officials to ensure that the application of human resource management provisions and guidelines.

Education
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
