About the Position: Provide oversight of studies and reviews to identify major problems involving supply chain management for improvement which affects worldwide DOD/DA supply programs.
Duties
Provide oversight of studies and review to identify major problems involving supply chain management for improvement which affects worldwide supply programs.
Functional expert for the enhancement and improvement of the plan, source, make, deliver and return segments of the spare and repair parts supply chain.
Drive the implementation of Supply Chain Optimization initiative and new supply chain management program management system requirements.
Coordinate and assist the Supply Chain Management Directorate in the adaption to, and adaption of enterprise resource planning enabled systemic functional processes.
Formulate and present substantial technical recommendations for supply chain problem solutions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Critical Acquisition Position. Selectee must be an Acquisition Corps (AC) member at the time of permanent selection for the position or have been granted a waiver.
- Critical Acquisition Position. Selectee must sign a written agreement to remain in Federal Service in the position for at least three years.
- Obtain and maintain Acquisition certification, Life Cycle Logistics, Advanced, withing 4 years of job entry.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: performing direct supervisory duties such as: plan subordinate work based on priorities, evaluate work performance of subordinates; plan and develop supply program requirements, analyze projects, and recommend policy improvements to obtain maximum effectiveness or program requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
