Duties

You will be responsible for the planning, development, coordination and management of training products and services for all assigned programs. You will serve as the senior training lead responsible for products and documentation support the design, development, integration, execution and sustainment of Life Cycle Training solutions for current and future C4I capabilities. You will develop Program Office training spend plans and provides Manpower, Personnel and Training (MPT) input to contract language in order to ensure requirements are captured and met. You will oversee development and timely delivery of all Program Office Navy Training Systems Plans (NTSP) IAW OPNAV 1500.76 series guidelines and milestone requirements.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Generally, current Federal employees applying to APS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band DP-02 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, developing and fielding of training solutions for all assigned Projects, Acquisition Category (ACAT) Programs, Abbreviated Acquisition Programs (AAP), prototype demonstrations and other non-program of records (POR) systems (hardware and software); AND providing liaison between the Program Office, Training Department, and fleet stakeholders.
