You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Commander, Submarine Force, Pacific (COMSUBPAC) of COMOMAG SAN DIEGO CA.
Duties
You will perform, administer, and advise on work associated with assuring the Mine and Targets stockpile readiness and quality of exercise training mines.
You will serve as the Operations Department Head for Exercise and Training Mining (N32).
You will manage both short- and long-range planning, budget development, and timely execution of exercise mine maintenance for Commanding Officer, Mobile Mine Assembly Group (COMOMAG).
You will provide COMOMAG with general and technical policy guidance and logistic support in all matters pertaining to management of department and exercise mine programs.
You will coordinate funding requirements and budgeting to support service and exercise mine maintenance.
You will use and rate of expenditures of budgeted funds through continuing dialog with Component commands, review of written documents, and examination of accounting records.
You will oversee the development of plans and programs for achieving and maintaining exercise mine product quality throughout a mine’s life cycle.
You will be responsible for the management and support of exercise related test equipment to include maintaining up-to-date files on equipment in use and support-related items.
You will provide daily technical direction and guidance to COMOMAG Operations Department staff.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing the planning and logistical support (such as manpower, training, funding, risk management) to meet the cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness of project objectives for supporting Mine Warfare Operations.
