You will serve as a Site Lead (Logistics Management Specialist) in the Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment Department of FLTREADCEN ASE SOLOMONS ISLAND MD.

Duties

You will perform the duties as the sole onsite government oversight as Government Site Lead of FRCASE Depot Repair Point (DRP) non-organic (Contractor) Aviation Support Equipment Maintenance Repair/Overhaul. You will perform final government Quality Assurance (QA) authority for all production repair processes. You will have extensive liaison meetings with other Host i.e. Station or Base as a depot facility-building tenant on site establishing a Local Support Agreement. You will continually evaluate the effectiveness of assigned logistics maintenance policy and procedural program areas in meeting planned goals and objectives of the Support Equipment Depot Level Rework Program for SE. You will coordinate with NAVFAC (Naval Facilities Command) both locally and regionally for all facility maintenance and repairs as Building Manager. You will brief management on status, updates, or other logistics related information. You will develop technical data processes for an organization.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Evaluating the effectiveness of assigned logistics maintenance policy and procedural program areas in meeting planned goals and objectives of the Support Equipment Depot Level Rework Program; 2) Developing and maintaining instructions, standards, handbooks, manuals and other information on assigned logistics for support equipment depot level maintenance policy and procedural program areas; 3) Providing guidance and advise throughout the fleet, field and headquarters regarding the policies, procedures and requirements of assigned logistics to the Support Equipment Rework Maintenance Program areas; 4) Developing requirements for management information systems and reporting / analyzing systems for assigned program areas; 5) Assisting in the planning and management of depot level maintenance for support equipment; 6) Assisting the team leader in coordinating material and process evaluations for FRC Support Equipment and NAWC activities and provide recommendations for procurement actions.
