You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) for RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND.
Duties
You will collect statistical data from databases to create reports for the organization.
You will distribute mail to appropriate staff members in support of necessary action items
You will compile reports by extracting information from various sources.
You will answer phones and directs calls to appropriate personnel.
You will resolve discrepancies in personnel documents.
You will compose or review correspondence ensuring correct spelling, conformance to formats, and procedural requirements.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.Ulitization of a variety of PC and web-based software programs including word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, email, and database programs. 2. Ability to research files to find, gather, organize, and report on collected information. 3. Assuring that general requirements are met for handling classified and sensitive materials. 4. Maintain a clear effective way of communication through oral and in written ways to share information, correspondence, and reports summarizing issues and/or to provide administrative support.
