You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the APPLIED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, WEAPONS AND ENERGETICS DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will assemble printed wiring boards, performance of electrical and environmental thermal shock testing, and/or troubleshooting, rework and repair of electronic assemblies/systems.
You will design, assemble, and/or fabricate potting molds, mechanical test set fixtures, boxes, consoles and/or specialized wiring harnesses and cables.
You will procure and test encapsulating/adhesive materials used to protect electronic modules during flight testing, fleet use and storage.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
DT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DT-02) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating experience micro-soldering surface mount and through-hole electronic components; 2) Assembling cables, harnesses, and control panels as defined by blueprints, sketches, models, and verbal instructions; 3) Performing electrical testing and environmental thermal shock testing, vibration and/or troubleshooting rework and repair of electronic assemblies/systems.
DT-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DT-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience includes duties related to the following:1) Assisting with micro-soldering surface mount and through-hole electronic components; 2) Assisting in assembling cables, harnesses, and control panels as defined by blueprints, sketches, models, and verbal instructions; 3) Assisting in performing electrical testing and environmental thermal shock testing, vibration and/or troubleshooting rework and repair of electronic assemblies/systems.

DT-02:
Successful completion of (a) all the requirements for a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or electronics technology, or (b) 3 years of study in an accredited (by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) curriculum in electronics, or (c) a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree that included major study or at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as those shown above for GS-4 or equivalent. At least 12 of the 24 semester hours must have been in electronics courses.
