Duties
Serves as Chief Business and Recreation Division, and as such plans, manages, directs, coordinates and supervises the functions, programs and activities of the division and performs delegated personnel management responsibilities.
Evaluates the effectiveness of programs in terms of mission accomplishments; procedural, policy, and regulatory compliance; quality and quantity of service; and profitability and recommends changes.
Reviews budget estimates submitted by program activities for completeness and applicability to program goals and objectives.
Determines program strengths and weaknesses and devises ways to improve services, reduce operational costs and increase efficiency.
Requirements

Qualifications

1. Progressively responsible experience performing related duties, which demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of this position.
2. Experience in a supervisory capacity is mandatory.
3. Knowledge of the goals, concepts and techniques of a community activities program, including recreation, sports, entertainment and art, and of general management and business operations of various facilities is required.
Five years experience in formulating and executing Appropriated Fund (APF) and Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) budgets is desirable.

Demonstrated experience leading teams.
Demonstrated experience with employee training, performance evaluation and team building.
Demonstrated experience with Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) budgeting and financial analysis.
Demonstrated experience with Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) Business and/or Recreation programs.
Demonstrated experience with Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) procurement and inventory management.
Demonstrated experience with written and oral communication.
