You will serve as a SYSTEM SUPPORT OFFICER in the RANGE AND TRAINING AREA MANAGEMENT of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will responsible to the Range System Sustainment Manager (RSSM) for providing senior level management and share fully in the responsibility of plans, coordination of, and management of the day to day operations.
You will provide live system support (e.g. Targets, Battle Effects Simulators, Instrumentation, Remote Engagement Target System, Instrumented –Tactical Engagement Simulation System, and Special Effects Small Arms Marking System).
You will be responsible for the maintenance program to include training systems deployment, operation, retrieval, repair, warehouse operations, collection, inventory, supply and maintenance administration.
You will provide technical assistance and guidance to field commanders, installations and organizations on Range and Training Area Management (RTAM) sponsored programs e.g., planning, programming, justification, and exception.
You will present technical briefs that benefit the knowledge base of the RTAM staff and director regarding technology based control methods.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to take training in order to be a take training in order to be a Contracting Officer Representative.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating and analyzing range and training areas to support the development of programs and plans for the long-range maintenance and support of training ranges and facilities, validating training requirements, formulating training solutions, and developing and managing program execution of training ranges, facilities and devices.
