Lower Colorado Basin Region, Yuma Area Office, Resource Management Office, located in Yuma, AZ.
Full time telework and remote work not available; housing not provided.
Duties
Develops and coordinates the Native American program in the Yuma Area Office (YAO), including the implementation of projects and technical assistance grants.
Assists Tribes in developing and implementing plans and programs for enhancing water resources on reservations within the purview of the YAO.
Conducts project activities to benefit federally recognized Indian tribes such as: irrigation projects; municipal, industrial and rural water systems; dam construction; safety of dams; drought relief; emergency assistance; other planning and engineering studies; and other activities which facilitate the negotiations and implementation of Indian water rights settlements.
Qualifications

To be qualified for the GS-12 level, your resume must clearly reflect one full year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level planning Native American Affairs program activities that involved water resources OR water related types of projects and using the federal budget process to prepare multi-year budgets.

Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
