Duties
This will be a temporary appointment Not-To-Exceed (NTE) 1 year.
As a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0501-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Providing oversight and reviewing/approving the analysis, development, coordination and establishment of policy and procedures related to all financial aspects of security cooperation programs.
Planning and directing the DSCA financial policy efforts for the continuous improvement program.
Expanding current policy, processes, and tools to better serve Foreign Military Sales partner requirements.
Providing extensive advice and guidance on policies, plans, concepts and principles of financial management along with funding requirements and implications inherent in long and short-range administrative and operational plans, programs and systems.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Reviewing the development and coordination of financial policy and procedures relating to security cooperation and/or security assistance;
Providing advice and guidance on policies, plans, concepts and principles of financial management; AND
Analyzing financial policy and providing new and updated solutions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
